Is where the old meets new. The house was in a dilapidated old railway house in the south suburbs of Durban. We managed to propose minor design interventions that do not detract from the original aesthetic of the house while reworking large components of the interior to achieve a modern and open living. The plot was overgrown with trees and black bamboo. The site had to be re-landscape to achieve a rolling landscape that would celebrate the structure within in.
